You can always tell that spring is right around the corner when McDonald’s rolls out the Shamrock Shake. It’s very delicious, but I haven’t gotten one this season yet.
In other news though, it also means that McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish is coming back. I’ve never wanted to try this…. who has ever seen a square fish?

So incredibly sorry everybody…. I’ve left you hungry for more of my awesome bloggery for a week. But alas, here you are.
Things that have happened recently….
I finally closed Forever 21 for the Win
p!nk’s Ride Promotion the station is doing in February/March… I’m uber excited because I’ve been pitching them forever. Things I’m not excited about…. having to attend the Car Giveaway Event in March where I have to wear something pink… I’m thinking this suit will work though….
The upcoming weekend also has LOTS of excitement in store… such as The Awesome 80’s Power Hour on Saturday night… all the usuals will be there… Steve, JP Party, Mack (she will bring our child), Nichelle… Camaro… and I’m sure some other reckless vandals too. After that, we’re headed to SoPo for Kim’s birthday! woohoo! These power hour’s get pretty instense, and I usually don’t make it home to my own bed those days…. oops.
Anyway… back to work I go… I’ll try to write more later…

I know this video has circulated the internet the past few days, but I think it’s really cool. It’s a commercial for T-Mobile that was filmed LIVE in Liverpool Street Station in London on January 15th…. the commuters in the station had no idea it was going to happen…

So here we are… Day 2, Blog Post #2. It’s been a crazy ride so far… I wanted to take a moment to reflect on all the great blog posts I’ve had so far…
I talked about Barack Obama yesterday… simply because everyone else was… can’t be left out. I think that’s it.
Anyways, I was woken up around 2am last night to the sound of dripping. I was like “oh shitbags, I left the faucet running in the bathroom.” So I staggered into the bathroom, and right before crossing the threshold from my bedroom to the bathroom, my foot got soaked in water. I was then like “oh fuckbags.” Shitbags was NOT an appropriate term to use when you step in water on carpeting. I then proceeded into the bathroom and had water dripping on my head… water was ALL over… turns out, something happened with one the pipes in the ceiling, and I had condensation running down the outside of the air ducts going into the bathroom. NOT FUN… especially at 2am. I proceeded to put a bucket on the floor to catch the water… 45 minutes later, the 2-galloon bucket was full… oy vey. I’m going to blame this on my roommate. Not quite sure why. If for no other reason, it’s because he doesn’t know I have this blog just yet, and I think I’ll be able to get away with passing the blame on to him… but alas, I feel the true culprit is Mother Nature… what a whore.
In other news, I was talking to someone yesterday who was talking about how they were, in 2009, choosing to become a vegetarian. I never understood vegetarians… Some people are vegetarians for medical reasons and their bodies can’t digest Cow and Pig or what-have-you, and that’s a separate category, the “Vegetarian’s that are cool with me” category. For all the Protestors, t’s good to stand up for what you believe in, and to be a do-er and not just a say-er, but at the same time time, Rafiki in the Lion King had it right… it’s the Circle of Life. It’s the way it goes. It’s survival of the fittest! To fight with the argument that animals are treated poorly, then buy Cage-Free Eggs next time you’re at the store. That leads me to my Thought of the Day… Vegetarian – that’s an old Indian word meaning, “lousy hunter.”

So here we are…. just after 12:00noon on Tuesday, January 20th, 2009. Change has come to America…. I’ve officially started Twittering, and Blogging here at WordPress. Thanks to JP Party for the suggestion that I start a blog.
Really though, change has come to America so significantly this morning. I spent the morning on CNN.com and their Webcast / Facebook site watching the Inaugural Events and watching the country update their statuses as the day progressed. I learned a few things today… 1) How to spell inaugural. 2) How passionate people really have become throughout this electoral process. Sure, we heard Wolf Blitzer talk about how this past political season “Has brought Young America to the Polls in record numbers,” and sure, I was at Grant Park on Election Night when Barack swept the election, but to see all those people sitting, waiting, listening, hoping on the National Mall really was awe-inspiring. About 14 of us at work sat in the Green Room and watched Obama and Biden be sworn into office…. it really was a cool experience. I actually got chills watching it happen. I don’t believe that Barack is the second-coming, but I do believe that what he has done will really help change our America. He’s reinvigorated people… people want to be a part of change, people want to be a part of our democratic process, people have taken ownership of it. I give him a lot of credit for that… our America hasn’t seen that since Kennedy took office so long ago. My hope is that America continues to take pride and ownership in our country, and this Idea of Change isn’t like a New Year’s Resolution that people forget about 30 days from now.
So enough with the politics… what’s everyone doing this weekend? I want to get drunk… All 80’s Power Hour? Everbody Wang Chung!
